Changes to the way you log on

One set of details, three ways to bank
We’ve made some changes to the way your log on details work to make it even more secure and allow you to use one set of log on details to access Online, Mobile and Telephone Banking.

To log on you will now need:

  • Personal ID (you may need to create a new 10 digit numeric ID if you don’t already have one)
  • Password (this may previously have been known as your Passcode, alternatively you will have to create one)
  • Security Number (this may previously have been known as your Registration Number or PIN)

Online Banking: You’ll be asked to enter your Personal ID, along with 3 characters from your Password and 3 digits from your Security Number.
Mobile Banking: You’ll be asked to enter your Security Number or log on with your fingerprint/face
Telephone Banking: You’ll be asked to enter your Personal ID and your full Security Number. For certain transactions you may also need your Password.

If you have any queries about these changes please contact us on 0800 9 123 123.

Frequently asked questions

    2. select ‘Log on’ from the top of the screen
    3. select ‘Forgotten my log on details’

  • No. Your new Personal ID now works across Online, Mobile and Telephone Banking, so there’s no need to remember two sets of log on details.

  • You can create your own Personal ID, it just needs to be 10 digits long and memorable to you as you will need it to log on across all our services. For security reasons, please make sure it doesn’t include any account information or card PIN details.

  • The new Personal ID you have chosen may not be available or may contain a sequence of numbers e.g. 1111111111 or 9876543210 that should be avoided to help keep your accounts secure. You can either select the one we suggest for you or try again using a memorable date, for example a child’s birthday.

  • Your Customer PIN will now be known as your Security Number which you will need to use for Online, Mobile and Telephone Banking.

  • It’s important we have the right contact details for you so that we can let you know about any further improvements and keep you up to date with any future changes.
