If you have recently moved to the UK you may also want to take a look at our Basic Current Account. This account doesn’t offer an overdraft facility or a cheque book and comes with a cash card and a Santander Top-up Debit card. There is no monthly account fee on this account and pay in at least £500 each academic term.

For children under age 13, the account must be opened in trust and managed by an adult (trustee). The trustee must be aged 18 or over, have parental responsibility for the child and hold a Santander personal current account. The day after the account is open, the trust status can be removed for all children aged 11 and over.
