The UK is no longer part of the EU. If you’re planning on driving to the EU or EEA in your vehicle, you’ll need a green card as proof of your insurance.
There are some things you should be aware of before travelling to the EU/EEA.
- You’ll need to have your green card with you at all times.
- If you travel without your green card, you could be breaking the law and you might not be able to go back to that country.
- As well as a green card, you’ll also need your driving licence and vehicle (V5C) log book.
- You car will need to display a GB logo.
- You may need an international driving permit for some EU/EEA countries.
Does a vehicle’s green card cover a trailer?
