What is travel insurance?

Travel insurance is designed to give you extra protection while you’re travelling. It can give you peace of mind, as it covers you for things going wrong when you least expect them to.

Travel insurance covers a range of things from minor inconveniences such as missed airline connections and delayed luggage to more serious and costly issues. These can include injuries or major illness resulting in costly medical expenses if you need treatment abroad.

You can choose from single trip or annual multi trip cover. You can then add any optional cover extensions you need including winter sports, cruise and business cover. These are available for an additional cost.

Who needs travel insurance?

Travel insurance offers peace of mind in case something unexpected happens. Having an accident, losing your passport or being delayed can be expensive problems to deal with, especially when you’re abroad. You might also need legal support, such as needing help if you’re injured and it wasn’t your fault, so it’s important to make sure you and your family are all covered and have that added reassurance.

Annual multi-trip or single trip policy

Are you planning a one off trip or hoping to go away more than once? We offer a choice of policies that best suits your needs.

European or worldwide cover (excluding Cuba)

Cover depending on where you’re travelling to.  A worldwide policy gives you cover in destinations beyond Europe. It takes into account the higher costs of medical treatment.
