How does this prize draw work?
Between 14 July and 16 October 2026, you need to:
- Open or transfer to a Santander Edge Student current account
- Use your debit card on eligible purchases by 31 December 2026
- Each debit card spend will add 1 entry into the prize draw, capped at 40 entries per month
- Keep your account open until the winners are drawn and prizes paid.
All eligible account holders will be entered into the prize draw. Entrants must not have previously held a Santander Edge Student current account.

The winners will be randomly selected by 31/01/2027. Prizes will be paid into the winner's Santander Edge Student current account by 31/01/27.
We will contact entrants by email to announce the prize draw by 31/01/2027. The winners of the £100,000 and £10,000 prizes will be contacted by telephone where records allow.
If we call you, our team will need you to pass security, so you may need to give us some information.
We will not need you to give us your account, card or log on details to pay in your prize money.
Keeping your account safe and secure
This is a good opportunity for us to share some general security tips with you. These can help you stay safe and protect yourself from fraud and scams.
- Never share a Santander One Time Passcode (OTP), with another person, not even a Santander employee.
- Never download software or let anyone remotely log on to your computer or other devices following or during a cold call.
- Never enter your Online Banking or bank card details after clicking on a link in an email or text message.
Criminals might contact you and pretend to be Santander, if you’re ever asked to move your money or share details, it will be a scam. Stop and contact us straight away.
Can I opt out?
You can opt out of the prize draw by emailing your full name, date of birth and post code to
PrizeDraws@Santander.co.uk
If a winner tells the Promoter they don’t want to receive their prize, a new winner will be selected at random.
What happens if the winner can’t be reached?
If the winner’s can't be reached within 14 days of being selected, the prize will still be paid into their Santander Edge Student current account.
What are eligible purchases?
Eligible purchases are purchases of goods and services. For example, using your card at the supermarket or placing an order online.
Eligible purchases do not include balance transfers, ATM transactions, cash advances, travellers’ cheques, foreign currency and money orders, interest, unauthorised or fraudulent transactions, account charges of any kind (if applicable), advances used for lottery or gambling payments, or Direct Debits or standing orders paid into the account.
Only cleared purchases by 31 December will be counted as entries.
You can apply for a Santander Edge Student current account if:
- you’re 18+ and live in the UK permanently
- you’re starting, or have started, an undergraduate course or a level 4-7 apprenticeship that’s at least 2 years long
- you plan to pay at least £500 into your account every 4 months.
