£30k could change a lot

Summary

The prize draw is open to existing and recent Santander Edge Student current account customers. You will be eligible for the prize draw if you opened or transferred your Santander account to a Santander Edge Student current account (previously called the 123 Student Current Account) between 1 August 2020 and 30 September 2025 and still have that account open on 31 December 2026, either as a Santander Edge Student current account or because it has been converted to an eligible Santander Personal Current Account.

To qualify, any required debit card spend must be made using that account (including where the account has been converted to an eligible Santander Personal Current Account). Eligible customers will need to use their debit card on eligible purchases 10+ times each month between 1st August and 31st December 2026 inclusive.

There are two cash prizes of £30,000 with winners to be randomly selected in January 2027.

Prize draw will run from 1st August to 31st December 2026.

Terms and Conditions

1. Entry is open to UK residents who are aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Santander UK plc who are directly involved with the prize draw.
2. The Promoter is Santander UK plc (“the Promoter”) Registered Office: 2 Triton Square, Regent's Place, London, NW1 3AN, United Kingdom.
3. Entrants agree to be bound by these Rules and any other requirements set out in the material relating to this promotion.

The prizes

4. There are 2 prizes in total:

• 2 x winners of £30,000.

5. The prize will be paid to the winner’s original Santander account by 31 January 2027 and will have a reference of SANTANDER PRIZE DRAW
PAYMENT.
6. Prizes are not transferable and no other alternatives to the Prize will be offered.
7. Maximum of one prize per customer.

Eligibility

10. In order to be entered into the prize draw, you must:

• Have opened or transferred from a Santander account to a Santander Edge Student current account (123 Student Current Account) between 1 August 2020 and 30 September 2025.
• Still have that account open on 31 December 2026, either as a Santander Edge Student current account or because it has been converted to an eligible Santander Personal Current Account.
• Use your debit card 10+ times per month from August to December 2026 inclusive.
• Hold a Personal Current Account on 31 December 2026 and maintain this account until the prize is paid.

Eligible Purchases

12.10+ ‘Eligible purchases’ are purchases of goods and services. Eligible purchases don’t include balance transfers, cash advances, travellers’ cheques, foreign currency and money orders, interest, unauthorised or fraudulent transactions, account charges of any kind (if applicable), advances used for lottery or gambling payments, or Direct Debits or standing orders paid into the account.

Winners

13. The winners will be randomly selected.

• Winners will be notified by email or telephone or both by 31 January 2027.
• All prizes will be paid to the winners’ Santander current account by 31 January 2027.
• If a winner holds more than one Santander current account, the prize will be paid to the most recently opened account, including joint accounts. 
• If we are unable to pay the prize as the winners’ personal current accounts are closed, another winner will be selected. Should this happen, there may be a delay in the payment.

14. The winners’ surname and county will be available on request after 31/01/2027 for 365 days subject to the winners’ consent. The winner’s information must be provided to the Advertising Standards Authority on request in the event of a dispute.
15. If the winner consents, the Promoter may publish their name and photograph for the purpose of publicity.

Additional information

16. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or close the prize draw without prior notice, in extreme circumstances.  
18. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this prize draw.
19. To the fullest extent permitted by law and excluding death or permanent injury caused as a result of the Promoter’s negligence, the Promoter accepts no liability for loss or injury as a result of the prize draw or receipt or misuse of any prize.
20. Trademarks, logos, product and retailer names are the property of their respective owner.  
21. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the terms and conditions will be based on the laws or England and Wales, and the Courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.

How we use your data

22. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose unless we have your consent. Data specifically relating to the prize draw will be stored for 3 months after the closing date before deletion.
