First time log on
With compatible devices, you can choose to log on using fingerprint or facial recognition. This will save you time and make logging on easier.
To stay secure where you have other fingerprints or faces registered on the device, for example family sharing, we would advise that you:
- Delete all other fingerprints or faces registered to ensure that only you can access the app or
- Do not use fingerprint or face log on
When a new fingerprint or face is registered on the device, you will need to log on with your security number.
If you are using an iOS device, logging on with your fingerprint is called ‘Touch ID’ and with your face is called ‘Face ID’. If you already have Touch ID or Face ID set up on your device this screen will appear to invite you to set it up for our app.
If you’re using an Android device, logging on with your fingerprint will be referred to as ‘Fingerprint’ but the process will be the same. We do not currently support logging on with facial recognition for Android devices.
If you haven’t got Face ID/Touch ID/Fingerprint log on set up on your device, you will see this message.
Face ID/Touch ID/Fingerprint is enabled when you see the ‘Success’ message. Face ID/Touch ID/Fingerprint can be set up at the initial log on or at a later date. You will be prompted for the first three visits with a pop up message.
After this, it can be updated under ‘Settings’ in the ‘More’ tab.
