^ There is no cap on arranged overdraft interest or charges. If you exceed your arranged overdraft limit you won’t be charged any interest on the portion of your balance which is above your limit but arranged interest will still apply to the portion of your balance within your limit.

* Interest is paid on entire balance up to £25,000.

* Payments and cash withdrawals made in the local currency. The 0% foreign conversion fee is applied 3 working days after you have opened or transferred to the Santander Edge, Santander Edge Up or Santander Edge Explorer current account. If you use your debit card outside the UK before then, the standard foreign currency conversion fee of 2.95% will apply. This fee is non-refundable. Local banks may charge their own fees when you use one of their cash machines and you should make sure you understand what these are before making a withdrawal.

** We won't charge you when you use your debit card to make withdrawals at Santander cash machines abroad. Make sure you choose to pay in the local currency to avoid being charged any other fees.

If you have recently moved to the UK you may also want to take a look at our Basic Current Account with no monthly fee. This account doesn’t offer an overdraft facility or cheque book and comes with a contactless debit card. This debit card does not allow mobile payments. Mobile payments include Apple Pay, Google PayTM, Samsung PayTM and Garmin PayTM.

For children under age 13, the account must be opened in trust and managed by an adult (trustee). The trustee must be aged 18 or over, have parental responsibility for the child and hold a Santander personal current account. The day after the account is open, the trust status can be removed for all children aged 11 and over.
