From 30 October 2017, the International Student Current Account will no longer be available to new customers.
If you currently have an International Student Current Account, you can continue using the account as you do today. There will be no changes to the account features – your account number, sort code and card will stay the same.
If you pay at least £50 in your account each month you will still be able to benefit from 3% AER/2.96% gross (variable) paid on balances up to a maximum of £500 as well as benefit from the one free deposit of a foreign cheque each month.
If you feel your account is no longer right for you it's easy to transfer to our Essentials Current Account.

If you'd like to transfer to the Essentials Current Account, please visit your local branch. You can also close your account at any time without charge. We also offer the Basic Current Account. However transfers aren’t allowed into this account. The Basic Current Account doesn’t offer an overdraft facility or a cheque book so you won’t be able to get those facilities if you decide to open one of these accounts.
