Where can I earn cashback with the Santander Edge accounts?

Earn 1% cashback on household bills, supermarket spend and travel costs

Which household bills can I get cashback on?

You could earn up to £10 cashback each month in this category with the Santander Edge current account, and up to £15 with the Santander Edge Up current account. Cashback is capped per monthly statement period for this category.

If you want to check whether your supplier is included, just type their name into the box.

How we pay your cashback is based on this list. But your cashback may be affected by how we classify suppliers, so you may earn a different amount to that shown in the cashback and interest calculator.

If a company provides more than one service, we may pay cashback on one, but not another. For example, your gas provider may also offer boiler repair cover, which is not eligible for cashback.

What debit card spending can I get cashback on?

We want to help you live your day-to-day life. That’s why we pay you 1% cashback when you spend on your debit card at supermarkets and on selected travel costs. You could earn up to £10 cashback each month in this category with the Santander Edge current account, and up to £15 with the Santander Edge Up current account. Cashback is capped per monthly statement period for this category.

We’ll give you cashback when you spend on:

  • Supermarkets
  • Trains
  • Buses
  • Electric vehicle charging
  • Petrol and diesel

We decide whether to pay cashback based on how the retailer you’re spending at is categorised. Some larger retailers such as supermarkets may have multiple categorisations depending on the type of thing you’re buying. For instance, a supermarket may sell petrol and diesel as well as groceries. In this case, you’d get cashback for both types of spend, but there may be other instances where you wouldn’t.
