Hobbledown’s adventure set to continue with West London expansion plans

Kidspace Adventure Holdings (KAHL) operates Hobbledown in Epsom, a 35 acre adventure park and zoo. They’re currently developing a second Hobbledown on a 117 acre site in Hounslow. KAHL also operate award winning indoor play and children’s party venues Kidspace Croydon and Kidspace Romford.
KAHL was introduced to Santander by its shareholder, Kings Park Capital, as it was seeking funding for the new Hobbledown site. After proposing a novel hybrid structure KAHL moved its full operational banking to Santander.
We are delighted to have secured £9m of funding and support from Santander for our new Hobbledown adventure park and zoo in West London.
From the outset, Santander’s Growth Capital department recognised KAHL’s vision and desire to be a market leader in the children’s visitor attraction sector.
It was vital for KAHL to have a lender who clearly understood the operational intricacies of the business and who are equally enthusiastic about its expansion programme.

The funding will enable KAHL to complete the development of the new Hobbledown site in Hounslow, West London. Scheduled to open in early summer 2022, the new site will provide a range of indoor and outdoor adventure play facilities. The site will also boast a wide variety of animals and an adrenaline village, that will include zip wires and high rope adventure courses, providing a fantastic blend for the ideal family day-out.
We are delighted to help fund the construction of a second Hobbledown, building on KAHL’s excellent existing sites.
