We're here to help

What happens next

After you’ve let us know, we'll be in touch. We might ask for information so we can update our records. For example, an original or certified copy of the death certificate. In some cases, we might be able to verify the registration digitally.

We’ll also ask about your future intentions for the business. Your Relationship Team will support you with any account changes.

Where can I find more information?

Our bereavement guide has the steps to help you sort out any accounts held with us. You’ll find the Corporate and Commercial banking section from page 12.

If the person who has died was a Santander personal banking customer, you’ll be able to give these details to the bereavement team. You can also use our online form.
