Customers of Santander are set to benefit when the bank officially opens its flagship lounge for Santander Private Banking, Select and Business customers at 77, Piccadilly, London, W1J 8AY on 18th January 2019. In a first for Santander, the lounge will be a space dedicated to the banks’ new and existing Santander Private Banking, Select and Business customers, allowing them to access all the wealth solutions the bank offers in one place.

Santander has chosen Alzheimer's Society as its new national Charity Partner for 2019-2021, following a selection process which included a vote by thousands of Santander staff across the UK.

Santander has raised £3.2million for Age UK and Barnardo’s during its three-year partnership, exceeding its original £3million ambition.

• New data from Santander shows the real impact that overpaying even a modest amount can have on a customer’s mortgage.
• Customers can overpay from as little as £10 a month which would save £1,146 in interest over the life of the average mortgage.
• 97% of people who overpay on their mortgage use it to reduce their term and pay off their mortgage more quickly.

Santander UK plc acknowledges the findings of the Financial Conduct Authority in its final notice dated 19 December 2018 and apologises to the families and beneficiaries of deceased customers affected by failings in its historical probate and bereavement processes.

Flight Club, the London-based birthplace of Social Darts, has secured £5 million in Growth Capital funding from Santander Business Banking to help it open additional venues in London and the UK. Flight Club has two sites in London and one in Manchester. Its third site in London, supported with the funding from Santander, is due to open in Victoria on 30 November, complementing ones in Shoreditch and Bloomsbury.

On the 30^th November 2018, Santander UK will officially open its newly designed and refurbished branch on 140 Holton Road, Barry, CF63 4HH. It is the latest of Santander’s branches to be re-designed as part of a programme to deliver even better customer service and community-friendly banking.

Horizons, a charity which teaches disadvantaged and disabled young people in Plymouth to sail, has received a £5,000 grant to fund the purchase of new sails, including mainsails, jibs with sun strips and spinnakers, for its sailing boats.

On Wednesday, 19^th December 2018, Santander UK will officially open its newly designed and refurbished branch on 1 Great Darkgate St, Aberystwyth, SY23 1DE. It is the latest of Santander’s branches to be re-designed as part of a programme to deliver even better customer service and community-friendly banking.

The Electric Sunshine Project (TESP) has received £5,000 to fund a series of skills development, singing and performance workshops focusing on the arts for residents of homeless hostels in Blackpool.

Wetwheels Yorkshire, a charity offering boating experiences for those with disabilities, has received £5,000 to fund adventurous trips from Scarborough and Whitby. The trips will be aboard the charity’s new, specially adapted and fully accessible, power boat.

On the 7^th November 2018, Santander UK will officially open its newly designed and refurbished branch on 28 Furtherwick Road, Canvey Island, Essex, SS8 7AF. It is the latest of Santander’s branches to be re-designed as part of a programme to deliver even better customer service and community-friendly banking.

Homeless support charity, Alabaré has received £5,000 to fund training with an employability coach to help young people in Chippenham develop the necessary skills, experience and qualifications needed to enter the workplace.

Glasgow-headquartered New Vent Solutions Ltd, a wholesaler of chimney and flue supplies, has secured £119,000 from Santander Business Banking to move to larger, more suitably located premises. The funding will also allow the firm to install a showroom for walk-in retail customers, to showcase the best fireplaces and stoves on offer.
