Santander has today announced that its £180 current account switcher offer will be ending on 30 July 2025. The offer, available to new and existing customers1, rewards them with £180 when they switch their current account through the Current Account Switching Services (CASS)2 to either a Santander Everyday, Edge, Edge Up or Private (v2) current account.
It’s not too late for customers to benefit from the offer which has been running since May, with switch requests accepted until 23:59 on 30 July. Applications received to switch accounts to Santander before the deadline will be eligible for the switcher incentive, even if the switch completes after the offer is withdrawn.
To be eligible3 to snap up this offer, customers must:
- Submit a switch request either online or in branch and before 23:59 on 30 July;
- Complete the full switch within 60 days of the initial switch request, including closing their external account;
- Pay in at least £1,500 to their eligible Santander account within 60 days of the initial switch request, which can be done through one or multiple payments;
- Set up at least two active household Direct Debits within 60 days of the initial switch request; and
- Not held a Santander current account on 1 January 2025 or have benefitted from a Santander switcher incentive previously.
Those eligible for the payment will receive the £180 within 90 days of the switch process completing4.

Notes to Editors
1. Existing Santander Edge current account, Santander Edge Up current account, Everyday current account and Private current account customers, can also use the current account switch service (CASS) to transfer their balances and direct debits from bank accounts with other providers into their existing Santander current account to benefit from the offer.
2. Current Account Switch Service (CASS) makes switching simple, by transferring the existing current account balance, and all direct debits, standing orders and salary commitments, within seven days. The £180 switching offer was always for a limited time period.
3. Customers must be a UK resident switching from an external provider (not including Santander, cahoot or Cater Allen) to qualify for the offer. Customers won’t qualify if anyone named on the new account held a Santander current account on 1 January 2025 or has received a switch incentive from Santander before.
4. Santander assesses whether a customer has achieved eligibility for the offer 60 days after the switch through CASS has been instructed. If eligible, the £180 payment is then made within 30 days after that assessment.
