Santander UK, London

Santander UK is a leading financial services provider that offers a wide range of personal and commercial financial products and services in the UK. The bank serves around 14 million active customers through our branch network and regional Corporate Business Centres.

We operate primarily in the UK, are regulated by the UK Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority, and are part of the Banco Santander, S.A..

Our business structure

We are a full-service retail and commercial bank with unique position and meaningful scale. Our business comprises three customer business segments, supported by central functions within Corporate Centre.

Retail Banking

Retail Banking offers a wide range of products and financial services to individuals and small businesses through a network of branches and ATMs, as well as through telephony, digital, mobile and intermediary channels.

Retail Banking also includes Santander Consumer Finance, predominantly a vehicle finance business.

Commercial Banking

Commercial Banking offers a wide range of products and financial services to customers through a network of regional Corporate Business Centres and through telephony and digital channels.

The management of our customers is organised according to their annual turnover, enabling us to offer a differentiated service to SMEs and mid corporate customers.

Global Corporate Banking

Global Corporate Banking services corporate clients, and financial institutions that, because of their size, complexity or sophistication, require specially-tailored services or value-added wholesale products.

It offers risk management and other value-added financial services to large corporates and financial institutions, as well as to the rest of Santander UK's businesses.

Corporate Centre

Corporate Centre predominantly consists of the non-core corporate and treasury legacy portfolios. Corporate Centre is also responsible for managing capital and funding, balance sheet composition and structure and strategic liquidity risk. The non-core corporate and treasury legacy portfolios are being run-down and/or managed for value
