• Up to £100 cashback for 1|2|3 World, Select and Private customers investing with Santander

Santander UK announces the launch of its new offer of up to £100 cashback on any of its investment products, including Santander Stocks and Shares ISA, between now and 15 June 2018. All 1|2|3 World, Select and Private customers can benefit from cashback of 0.5% (up to a maximum of £1001) on the total amount invested with Santander during the offer period.

For customers making their own investment decisions, they can invest on the Santander Investment Hub by applying online via our secure, efficient, straightforward platform. The online service provides customers with a wide range of investment fund options from Santander Asset Management funds as well as around 1,300 funds from some of the world’s other leading fund managers to meet varying needs as customers plan for the future.

Alexia Kilby, Head of Investments at Santander UK, said: “In this low interest rate environment, we want to make investing an option for more of our customers, some of whom may not have considered investments previously. Our education site is dedicated to demystifying investments making them more accessible for customers who, alongside other savings options, can benefit from our new competitive cashback aimed at contributing towards their long-term investment goals.”

With just £20 per month by Direct Debit, or a £100 lump sum, customers can access the investment platform via Santander.co.uk, which gives them a unique advantage of being able to view all of their Santander holdings in one place – everything from their mortgage, and savings, to their insurance and current account. Customers also have the added benefit of consolidating their investments held with other providers onto the Investment Hub which will enables them to have a complete overview of their finances.

Alternatively, investments can be made through our Santander Financial Planning Service, with face-to-face advice from one of our Financial Planning Managers or Private Bankers. Customers who are paying into an existing investment can also contact our Investment Centre.

The value of investments and any income from them can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than the full amount you invest. Stocks and Shares ISAs and all other investment products have their own eligibility criteria and subscription minimums and maximum limits. We are offering 0.5% cashback for 1|2|3 World, Select and Private customers who invest in any of our investment products including funds, structured investments and structured deposits during the offer period (10 March 2018 to 15 June 2018). 1|2|3 World covers all our 1|2|3 products including the 1|2|3 Current Account and 1|2|3 Lite Current Account.

The 0.5% cashback will be paid on the total amount invested (either through Financial Planning in Branch, Santander Private or via the Investment Hub) during the offer period (subject to a maximum of £100 cashback).

To qualify for the maximum £100 cashback, a customer would need to deposit £20,000 during the offer period. Each customer is eligible for one cashback amount only. This will take into account the total amount invested paying into a new or existing investment or a solely held or jointly held investment. Deposits held as cash on the Investment Hub are not eligible.
Set out below are the main examples of when you’ll be eligible for the cashback offer during the offer period:

  • regular payments into a solely held or jointly held investment during the offer period;
  • lump sum amounts into a solely held or jointly held investment during the offer period;
  • lump sum investment into a stocks and shares ISA or non-ISA investment;
  • ISA transfer-ins (from cash ISA, stocks and shares ISA or other types of ISA) where Santander accepts the transfer in of that type of ISA and the transfer is completed and money is received from your previous provider, during the offer period; or
  • re-registrations to the Santander Investment Hub from other investment providers. The cashback paid will be based on the value of assets being re-registered when the transfer completes on or before 15 June 2018.

There are other situations when you would also be eligible. Customers are eligible for the cashback offer if they haven’t transferred out, withdrawn or cancelled before the cashback is paid on 31 August 2018.

For Santander Investment Hub customers, the cashback will be paid on 31 August 2018 into their Cash Only account. For those customers who don’t have a Santander Investment Hub account but are a 1|2|3 World, Santander Select or Private customer, the cashback will be paid to the relevant Santander current account or Santander instant access account.
