Reilly Concrete pumps further investment to support growth following £2.5m in funding from Santander

St Helens-based Reilly Concrete Pumping Ltd, one of the largest privately owned concrete pumping companies in the UK, is to expand its fleet of vehicle-mounted concrete pumping machines and invest further in the business to cater for strong demand following a £2.5 million funding deal with Santander Corporate & Commercial.

Established in 1989, Reilly Concrete provides pumping hire services, concrete pumping services and concrete placing to clients in the infrastructure and construction industries. The firm serves projects that include road construction, utility projects, waterfront developments, luxury apartment blocks and commercial office developments, and is still managed by founder Brendan Reilly, who remains actively involved in client relationships and the operational performance of the business. Initially servicing the North West of England, Reilly Concrete now serves all of the UK from numerous depots including Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Leeds, Manchester, Scarborough and Stoke-on-Trent, Cumbria, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

The company has been involved in a number of major projects including the A500 by-pass; Kings Dock in Liverpool; East Midlands airport; and the national upgrade of the water and sewerage system. Recent projects include working on the development of the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool FC stadium as well as the Mersey Gateway project. The firm is able to work on such major projects due to its specialist fleet which includes 52-metre concrete pumps, amongst the longest concrete booms available in the UK.

Brendan Reilly, Founder and Director, Reilly Concrete Pumping Ltd, said: “Our success is down to our ability to deliver simple solutions to complicated projects using state of the art technology. We believe that our successful track record of working with high-level clients on major projects speaks for itself. We are very excited about the next phase of our company’s growth as we look to build upon our previous successes.”

Phillip Roscoe, Relationship Director for Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “The size and specification of Reilly Concrete’s truck-mounted and trailer-mounted pumps, as well as its specialist fleet, helps to differentiate the business from other regional and national competitors. The firm is a recognised and trusted brand by all those working within the industry. The management team has an excellent work ethic and an ability to differentiate themselves from competitors, and this makes the business a very exciting client to be working with.”
