New local networking event brings Holborn businesses together to boost growth

This month, local business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals and representatives from University College London and London School of Economics attended a Breakthrough in Branch panel and networking event at Santander’s High Holborn branch.

The event provided a platform for local businesses to hear from Scott Saunders, CEO and Founder at Payroll-Supermarket.com, Jan Rooban, Branch Director and Stefano Preziosi, Local Business Manager from the High Holborn and Leather Lane Santander branches. The speakers discussed how to start up and develop your business as well as Santander’s involvement in the local community, focusing specifically on how businesses can connect and work together to support the local economy.

The event was aimed at helping ambitious businesses prosper by providing an open support network and sharing knowledge and learning from others who have been through the same journey. The bank is a consistent supporter of businesses across the UK.

Stefano Preziosi, Local Business Manager at Santander’s High Holborn branch, said: “Corporate Social Responsibility is a key fundamental part in our daily job at Santander and we want to make sure to include this in all the services that we offer our customers. We are not just about offering a financial service, but truly being a part of the community and acting as a support hub for our local residents. This event provides new knowledge for local businesses, helping to build a stronger and more active network of support and connections.”

Mr. Lucas Rodriguez De Los Santos, CEO at LRS Natural Food Consulting Ltd said: “It’s important to me as a business owner that I build my network and hear from others as to their experiences and how they developed. Events like this are testament to the work Santander is doing to ensure local business communities and like-minded entrepreneurs are given the opportunity to further their ambitions.”

The Santander branch, located on High Holborn in London, has a range of customer services.
