Mind BLMK has received £5,000 to fund a trained practitioner to teach Mindfulness to their users in Bedfordshire to help reduce stress, anxiety and depression.

The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation which offers grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.

Mind BLMK offers a range of services aimed at promoting mental health recovery, wellbeing and independence. The grant will fund a practitioner trained in Mindfulness to help their service users to reduce stress and maintain good mental health.

Alison Fisher at Mind BLMK said: “Mind BLMK is pleased to be able to offer Mindfulness courses, with the support of the Santander Foundation. This will enable us to increase our range of services to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of people living in Central Bedfordshire.”

Kim Rowe, Branch Manager at Santander’s Dunstable branch said: “The Santander Foundation makes hundreds of donations every year to good causes throughout the UK.
