Andy Booth appointed Head of Retail & Business Banking at Santander UK

Santander UK has today announced the appointment of Andy Booth as Head of Retail & Business Banking. Andy will join the Executive Team reporting directly to Santander UK CEO, Mahesh Aditya, subject to regulatory approval. 

Previously Head of Digital and Assisted Channels at Santander UK, Andy was responsible for retail customers across digital platforms, branches, ATMs and contact centres, as well as the bank’s specialist Financial Support team. With almost two decades of banking experience, Andy joined Santander UK in 2023 from Barclays, where he was Managing Director of Transformation. Prior to this, he held a range of executive roles in UK banks, overseeing transformation projects, personal and small business banking, and product areas.

Alongside Andy’s appointment, David Morris, Head of Homes, and Gail Russell, Head of Everyday Banking, will both join Santander UK’s Executive Team, reporting into Andy.
