What's covered?

As standard with fully comprehensive car insurance you'll get:

  • cover if your car is stolen, damaged by fire or accidentally damaged

  • windscreen replacement and repair 24/7

  • a courtesy car while your vehicle is being repaired by an approved repairer (subject to availability)

  • driving in the EU - up to 60 days in any period of insurance

  • unlimited cover on manufacturer-fitted audio, sat nav and entertainment equipment

  • stolen keys cover - up to £500

  • personal belongings cover - up to £100

  • repair work cover - 3 year guarantee on all approved claims repairs

Motor legal protection – administered by ACM ULR Limited and underwritten by AmTrust  Europe Limited

If you are involved in an accident that is not your fault, you have a legal right to claim back your uninsured losses (losses you are not covered for under any other insurance policy), from the person who caused the accident.

Some of the benefits include:

  • Up to £100,000 of legal assistance in obtaining compensation for personal injury or medical expenses and help to recover losses resulting from the accident i.e. loss of earnings, phone bills and travel costs

  • Up to £20,000 of cover towards motor prosecution defence. If you are facing suspension or disqualification of your driving licence, we can instruct a solicitor to act on your behalf

  • Motor legal helpline – if you require legal advice relating to a motoring issue, there is a 24/7 helpline, with a team of advisers to help you

Breakdown cover – provided by RAC Motoring Services and RAC Insurance Limited

A number of vehicle breakdown cover options are available to complement your policy. These range from roadside assistance to help you get going again, to more comprehensive options providing cover at home and providing you with alternative travel arrangements.

  • UK roadside: your car will be fixed at the roadside if possible or will be towed to a nearby garage

  • UK roadside and recovery: roadside fixes, plus transportation of your vehicle plus up to 8 people to your intended UK destination or home

  • UK roadside and at home: your car will be fixed at the roadside or your home if possible or will be towed to a nearby garage

  • UK roadside, recovery and at home: home and roadside fixes, transportation of your vehicle plus up to 8 people to your intended UK destination or home

  • UK roadside, recovery and at home plus onward travel: as above, but also includes a replacement car for up to 24 hours while yours is being repaired, or accommodation or onward travel by other transport means

  • EU and UK roadside, recovery, at home and onward travel: as above, but also covers you if you’re motoring in the EU

Guaranteed replacement car – administered by ACM ULR Limited

This service keeps you mobile by providing a replacement car should yours not be driveable following a claim. You can choose from two levels of cover providing use of a car for 14 or 28 days.

Benefits include:

  • Provision of a vehicle from one of the leading national car hire networks. This differs from having a garage's courtesy car, which is subject to availability

  • Use of a car should your car be written off or be unavailable to drive due to fire, theft, or an accident
