I have a disability

Working with you
We understand that a physical disability can limit your mobility, dexterity or stamina. Equally, a learning disability may limit your ability to understand things. Any one of these disabilities can sometimes affect carrying out everyday activities like banking.

We recognise that sometimes you – or someone you care for – may need help with your banking. With this in mind we’re striving to make all of our branches and services accessible to all, regardless of any disability a person may have.

There are a number of ways we may be able to help you:

  • Automatic doors in our branches to make access easier.

  • A level access in our main banking halls in branches so you don’t need to go upstairs.

  • At least one low level or drop down counter to assist you if you are a wheelchair user.

  • Chip and signature cards for when remembering your PIN is difficult. You can request a chip and signature card through secure messaging in Online Banking, or call our telephone team on 0800 9 123 123 or request within your local branch (link to branch locator).

  • Cheque or card templates can help with dexterity problems you may experience. You can request a template through secure messaging in Online Banking, or call our telephone team on 0800 9 123 123 or request within your local branch (link to branch locator).

  • We can order correspondence for you in different formats such as larger fonts or different coloured paper, to help with reading. Please call us on 0800 9 123 123 or send us a secure message using Online Banking

  • If you prefer to do your banking on the web, visit your Online Banking

  • If you have an assistance dog, be assured we welcome assistance dogs in all of our branches.

If you feel that you would benefit from any of these services then please call us on either 0800 9 123 123 (Monday to Saturday 7am to 11pm or Sunday 8am to 10pm) or visit your local branch
