Santander has announced the launch of a £125 cashback offer when new and existing customers purchase a life protection policy from 9 January 2023, to help provide their loved ones with financial security.(1)

The life insurance policies eligible for the cashback offer are: Santander Life Insurance Plan, Life & Critical Illness Plan, Critical Illness Plan, and the Over 50s Life Insurance Policy.(2) 

Eligible customers will receive £75 cashback after six months from opening, providing the application was submitted during the promotional period and the policy premiums are up to date. An additional £50 cashback will be paid on the first anniversary of the policy start date, as long as the policy has not been cancelled. (3)

Notes to Editors 
1)    This is a limited offer which applies to new applications received from 9 January 2023 and can be withdrawn by Santander at any time without notice. 

2)    If a customer has previously held and cancelled a Santander life protection policy within the last 12 months, they will not be eligible for this offer. 

  • Cashback will be paid on one policy only. 
  • For a joint qualifying life protection policy, only one cashback will be paid to the first named policyholder. The cashback will only be paid once per customer.

3)    £75 cashback will be paid within 60 days of the policy being opened for six months, providing:

a.    An application has been completed and submitted during the promotional period which started on 9 January 2023
b.    The policy has started
c.    The policy has not been cancelled and the premium payments are up to date

An additional £50 cashback will be paid within 30 days of the first-year anniversary of the policy start date, providing the policy has not been cancelled and the premium payments are up to date
