Santander launches new Regular Saver offering 8% AER for all Santander Current Accounts including fee-free Everyday Current Account

- Santander launches a market leading rate with its new Regular Saver offering 8% AER for the first 12 months.
- Available to all Santander new and existing current account customers – no switch required.
- Those who are looking to switch current accounts can benefit from an additional £180 when they switch to a Santander current account through CASS, including the fee-free Everyday Current Account.
Santander UK has today announced the launch of its new Regular Saver with an interest rate of 8.00% AER/gross (variable), which includes a 5.00% AER/gross (variable) bonus for the first 12 months, available to all Santander current account customers, including its fee-free Everyday current account customers.
After 12 months, the interest reduces to 3.00% AER/gross (variable), helping customers build up their savings for the long-term. Customers can save up to £200 a month, meaning those customers who choose to deposit the maximum amount each month, can build up the following including interest:
- £2,504 in year 1
- £5,018 in year 21
The Regular Saver is exclusively available to all Santander current account customers, including customers with a Santander Everyday, Edge, Edge Student, Edge Up and Explorer current account. New customers can additionally benefit from Santander’s latest switching offer, £180 when they switch to a Santander current account and meet the qualifying criteria. 2

Everyday current account – a fee free account that makes managing money easy and brings customers an award-winning mobile banking app with an optional arranged overdraft (subject to status).
Edge current account – for a £3 monthly fee, customers can enjoy up to £10 cashback on selected household bills and use their card abroad with no fees from us, with the requirement of paying in £500 a month and have 2 active Direct Debits.
Edge Up current account – for a £5 monthly fee, customers can earn up to £15 cashback on selected household bills, earn interest on a balance up to £25,000 and use their card abroad with no fees from us, with the requirement of paying in £1,500 each month and have 2 active Direct Debits.
Edge Explorer current account – for a £17 a month, customers can have protection and perks for them and their family, with worldwide family travel insurance, breakdown cover in the UK and Europe, UK 24/7 remote access to a GP for the family, mobile phone insurance, up to £10 cashback a month on household bills, plus further cashback at supermarkets and on travel costs, up to £10 a month and use their card abroad with no fees from us.
Customers can apply for the Regular Saver, through the Santander app, in branch or on the phone.

- Minimum balance for the Regular Saver is £1, and the account is limited to one account per customer. Customers must be 16 or over and live in the UK to apply.
