New research from Santander UK has found that, despite 70% of homeowning Brits being more concerned than ever about the impact they have on the environment, the same proportion find it too overwhelming to know where to start when it comes to making eco-upgrades to their homes.

Fraudsters are preying on bargain hunters looking for deals in ‘closing down’ or ‘clearance’ sales. These sales are typically advertised on social media or through fake websites, and often draw on brands who have been in the news recently announcing store closures.

Santander UK has today increased the interest offered on its one year and two year fixed rate ISAs. From today Santander’s one year fixed rate ISA pays 5.60% AER/tax-free and Santander’s two year fixed rate ISA pays 5.45% AER/tax-free.
