Penrith-based Genesis Homes, a housing developer, has secured £1m of Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme funding through Santander UK, to continue its roll out of housing development sites in the coming year.

New research from Santander UK shows that UK consumers are determined to take greater control of their personal finances in 2021 following their experiences of Covid-19. The findings suggest that the pandemic has taken its toll on a significant number of household financial situations, with nearly a third (32%) feeling ‘very worried’ about its continued impact on their finances.

Santander has pledged £1million to support small and medium businesses (SMEs) in the Leeds City Region with new apprenticeship programmes over the next two years.
