It's quick and easy to start using Mobile Banking
If you use an Apple device you’ll need to be running iOS9 or above. If you use Android you’ll need KitKat 4.4 or above. Either go to your app store and search for Santander Personal Banking or we can send you a link directly to the app if you need to download the latest operating system.

You can check if you have the latest operating system:

Android user:

  • Go to settings> about phone> software info

IOS users:

  • Go to settings> general> about

If you've recently been sent log on details in the post you can use Mobile Banking as soon as you’ve downloaded the app. You'll be asked to change the temporary details to more memorable ones the first time you log on.

Sign up for the app
If you don't already have log on details, you can sign up here. To sign up you'll need:

  • your most recent debit or credit card or
  • your banking or saving account details

If you don't have the above then please call us on 0800 9 123 123. We're open 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 9pm Sundays.

We will send you a One Time Passcode when you first log on, so your UK mobile phone number must be up-to-date and registered to receive One Time Passcodes. 

Protect yourself

  • Never share a Santander One Time Passcode (OTP) with another person, not even a Santander employee
  • Never download software or let anyone log onto your computer or other devices remotely following or during a cold call
  • Never enter your Online or Mobile Banking details after clicking on a link in an email or SMS.

If you're ever asked to do any of these things, refuse and contact us immediately on 0800 9 123 123.

  • Tell us if you receive any suspicious Santander text messages or emails
  • Keep your device passcode secure and don’t allow anyone else to add their Fingerprint/ Touch ID/ Face ID
  • Make sure your contact details are up-to-date at all times so we can get in touch with you quickly should we need to
  • Change your device passcode immediately if anyone knows it.

Keeping you safe
You can't download, install or use Santander Personal Banking on a device which has been jail-broken, rooted or which has had its security settings compromised in any other way (jail-broken or rooted means that the device has deliberately had its security settings changed, making it less secure and more vulnerable to fraudulent attacks).
