You must be in or going into your first year of study to transfer to the Santander Edge Student current account

New Santander current account customers

  • Apply or switch online

If you're in your 2nd year of university or above, you must switch an account from another provider to us as part of your application.

We recommend you provide us the address where you're registered on the electoral roll and you'll need to provide proof of your course.

Got a 1|2|3 Mini Current Account?

 

  • 1|2|3 Mini customers can change their existing account online.
  • To change your account online, you must log on to Online Banking and be able to provide your UCAS 4-digit status code.

Got an Everyday or other Santander current account?

  • If you have one of our adult current accounts, or don’t have a UCAS status code because you’re on a level 4-7 apprenticeship, visit one of our branches.
  • You may need to make an appointment.

We’ll carry out a credit check when you apply.

Paper-free

  • We’ll send your statements and other important information to your e-Documents section in Online Banking.
  • Once your account has been open for 24 hours you can ask to receive your statements and important information by post using Online Banking, in one of our branches or by phone.
