If you're in your 2nd year of university or above, you must switch an account from another provider to us as part of your application.

We recommend you provide us the address where you're registered on the electoral roll and you'll need to provide proof of your course.

Got a 1|2|3 Mini Current Account?

1|2|3 Mini customers can change their existing account online.
To change your account online, you must log on to Online Banking and be able to provide your UCAS 4-digit status code.

Got an Everyday or other Santander current account?

If you have one of our adult current accounts, or don’t have a UCAS status code because you’re on a level 4-7 apprenticeship, visit one of our branches.
You may need to make an appointment.

Student account eligibility

I have an unconditional offer or I have my exam results and have a confirmed conditional offer and I’m studying (or about to start):

an undergraduate course with a higher education provider of 2 years or more or
a level 4-7 apprenticeship of 2 years or more

I don’t already have a Santander current account.
