If you have a Santander Home Insurance policy administered and underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited you can make your claim online with Aviva (except Legal services and Home emergency cover).

Before you get started
You’ll need to have your insurance policy number to hand, this starts with MHO (you can find this in your policy documents or in Online Banking). It may also be useful to have some of the following information when registering your details:

  • Receipts, quotes or invoices
  • Photos of damaged or lost property

When you’ve submitted a claim
When you make a claim between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, your Aviva Personal Claims Manager will aim to contact you within 2 hours to take the details and explain what happens next. Outside these hours Aviva may not be able to contact you until the next working day. If you need help sooner, call Aviva on 0345 301 0661.

If there’s been an emergency
Call Aviva on 0345 301 0661 to get help as soon as possible. Lines are open 24/7, 365 days a year. The cost of calls to 03 prefixed numbers are charged at national call rates (charges may vary dependent on your network provider) and are usually included in inclusive minute plans from landlines and mobiles.

When you start a claim you’ll be taken to a secure Aviva site. Aviva will then administer and handle your claim.

    If you have a Santander Home Insurance policy which is administered and underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited you can also make a claim online (except Legal services and Home emergency cover).   • Simply download a copy of our cancellation fee claim form and send it along with proof that you’ve cancelled your old policy and evidence of the cancellation fee to our freepost address found printed on the cancellation form.

  • Santander home insurance policies underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited qualify for cashback and have policy numbers starting with MH. You can find your policy number on your policy schedule.

     

    Customers must pay for their Santander home insurance by Direct Debit. Cashback is paid monthly but may vary depending on how you pay your bill or Santander home insurance premium is paid.The cashback will only apply after the 27 April 2016 to monthly and annual paid premiums.

  • It is important that you refer to your insurance policy document which will contain details of who you should contact to notify of your change in circumstances.

  • To qualify for 10% cashback you must be a 1|2|3 World or Santander Select customer when you take out a new home insurance policy and when the cashback payment is made. Your new policy must not be cancelled before the cashback payment is made. Cashback is calculated on the first year’s premium and paid within 90 days of your policy start date.

     

    If you're a Select customer without a 1|2|3 Current Account or 1|2|3 Credit Card we'll send you a cheque for the 10% cashback.
