Our Business Reward Saver account is designed for small to medium sized start-up and established businesses with up to two directors, owners (shareholders) or partners. This account gives you all the benefits of a savings account, plus a better rate of interest when you don't make withdrawals.

  • 0.35% gross/AER (variable).

  • You get 0.01% gross/AER (variable) in any month when withdrawals are made (for that month only).

  • Unlimited additional deposits (up to a balance of £2 million).

  • Make withdrawals and deposits online, by phone, and at cash machines.

  • Monthly interest.

  • After 12 months, the account will become a Business Everyday Saver

Business Reward Saver (Issue 8) - interest rates

Interest is paid monthly.

The minimum balance for this account is £1. If you make any withdrawals during the month you will receive a lower rate of interest for that month only.

After 12 months, the account will become a Business Everyday Saver.

Up to and including 5 April 2016 interest will be paid net, unless evidence is provided to confirm your eligibility to receive interest gross. From 6 April 2016, you'll receive interest gross, with no tax taken off. The gross rate is the interest rate we pay where no income tax has been deducted.

You can apply for a Business Reward Saver if:

  • all directors, owners (shareholders) or partners are aged 18 or over
  • all directors, owners (shareholders) or partners are UK residents
  • your business is registered in the UK
  • you have up to two directors, owners (shareholders) or partners
  • you are either a sole trader or your business is a partnership, limited liability partnership, private limited company or a trust

If you have more than two directors, owners (shareholders) or partners or your business entity isn't listed above, please visit Corporate & Commercial Banking.

You can apply for a single account or a joint account with up to 10 account holders.

AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and shows what the interest rate would be if we paid interest and added it to your account each year.

The gross rate is the interest rate we pay where no income tax has been deducted.
