You could get 10% cashback on your first year’s premium when you buy a new Santander Home Insurance policy. To qualify you must be a 1|2|3 World or Santander Select customer when you take out the home insurance and when the cashback payment is made. Your new home insurance policy must not be cancelled before the cashback payment is made. The 10% cashback will be paid within 90 days of the policy start date.

If you hold a 1|2|3 Current Account or a 1|2|3 Lite Current Account, you’ll get 2% cashback on Santander home insurance policies administered and underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited when you pay by Direct Debit from the account.

What you need to do

There’s a £5 monthly account fee on the 1|2|3 Current Account and a £1 monthly account fee on the 1|2|3 Lite Current Account. These will be taken from your account automatically each month.

To earn cashback and interest you need to:

  • Pay in at least £500 a month - any interest paid, and payments between Santander personal accounts you’re named on won’t count towards the monthly funding amount
  • Have at least 2 active Direct Debits
  • For the 1|2|3 Lite Current Account only, you must also log on to Online or Mobile Banking at least once every three months. 

Please note that the 1|2|3 Lite Current Account does not pay interest.

Other reasons to move:
  • You won’t be charged interest for paying your premium monthly by Direct Debit
  • You won’t be charged a fee for amending your policy mid-term
  • Any cancellation fee you’re charged by your insurer will be refunded when you switch. Simply download a copy of our cancellation fee claim form and send it along with proof that you’ve cancelled your old policy and evidence of the cancellation fee to our freepost address found printed on the cancellation form.
 
Please make sure you have a new policy in place before cancelling the existing one, so there are no gaps in your cover.
