Where can I earn cashback?
You can earn cashback at all major supermarkets, department stores and petrol stations1. You can also earn cashback on tickets purchased for travel on National Rail (which includes all major UK train operating companies), from online train ticket retailers, for Transport for London travel and trains operated in Northern Ireland by NI Railways. Cashback at the rates above can only be earned at retailers categorised as supermarkets, department stores, petrol stations, passenger railways or railroads merchants by MasterCard. To find out more view our list of retailers.
Are there any exceptions?
There will be a few exceptions to the level of cashback that will be awarded to you. For example, Marks & Spencer stores are defined as a supermarket (not a department store), so you will earn 1% cashback. Some petrol stations may be classed as supermarkets too. TfL travel cards, passes and Oyster card top-ups purchased from newsagents, garages and off-licences, Northern Ireland Railways train tickets purchased online and train tickets purchased at travel agents and tour operators do not qualify for cashback.
When will I receive my cashback?
The total cashback earned each month will be credited to your next monthly statement.
When will I be charged my annual fee?
An annual fee will be charged at account opening and will show on your first statement and every year thereafter. See the Representative Example for details. Even with an annual fee, the card still offers the prospect of generous rewards.
