Note 1: AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and shows what the interest rate would be if we paid interest and added it to your account each year. The gross rate is the interest rate we pay before income tax is taken off.

Note 2: EAR stands for Effective Annual Rate and represents the annual cost of an overdraft, which takes into account how often interest is charged to the account, and does not include any other fees or charges. Overdrafts depend on your circumstances and you must repay any overdraft when we ask in line with our General Terms and Conditions.

Account Benefits

Interest free overdraft (depending on your circumstances)

We’ve made the first £100 of your Arranged Overdraft for Reward Current Account and the first £500 of your Arranged Overdraft for Premium Current Account completely interest-free (subject to status). This means you only start paying interest once you go over £100 or £500.

Personal loan deals

Reward Current Account customers get access to great personal loan rates at Santander. A £7,500 loan over 60 months, would mean monthly payments of £154.08, and the total amount you would pay would be £9,244.80, typical rate 8.9% APR instead of 11.9% APR. Personal loans depend on your circumstances and rates may change. Only available over the phone.

Commission-free travel money

We will give you commission-free travel money at great rates (which are updated each day excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays) and in a wide range of currencies. We’ll also deliver it direct to your door free of charge, giving you one less thing to do before you go. Minimum order of £300.

Annual worldwide family travel insurance

Wherever and whenever you travel, you can now enjoy the peace of mind that comes with being completely covered. This policy gives you and your family worldwide insurance each year with winter sports. You’re covered for canceling your trip, cutting your trip short, missing your transport, personal accident, medical-emergency expenses, personal property, losing your passport or driving license, personal public liability, travel delay, legal costs, winter sports, and golf cover.

A £50 supplement is required for travel insurance cover to continue beyond age 65 for Reward customers and beyond age 80 for Premium customers. Wintersports cover is not available after the age of 65 for Reward customers and beyond age 80 for Premium customers.

Health Benefits from AXA PPP healthcare

For Premium Current Account customers Health Benefits provides peace of mind that should you experience new medical symptoms you will have prompt access to private out-patient benefits to help establish quick diagnosis. Benefits include; access to up to two private out-patient specialist consultations a year, cover for up to £750 of out-patient diagnostic tests and surgical procedures a year and Health at Hand, a confidential medical information telephone helpline that is available 24 hours a day. There is no cover for pre-existing and related medical conditions. Available up to age 79 for the account holder and the joint account holder. A maximum of two people can be on cover.

Green Flag Car breakdown (UK ) – including national recovery and cover at home

With both UK Roadside Assistance and Homecall included, you can drive with confidence wherever you are in the UK. You’re covered for breakdowns, even at home, and if your vehicle can’t be repaired that day we will arrange transportation home or to any UK destination.

Card loss assistance

Losing your cards can be a big worry, but one call to our card protection line will help put your mind at ease. Call us and we will cancel any of your debit, credit, charge, store and other cards for you. If your cards have been lost or stolen we will ask the card issuers to send you replacements. And if you need it, we will even arrange to send you some emergency cash.

Key Protection

If you need your keys and locks replacing in an emergency, we will cover your costs up to £500. We’ll also give you help finding a locksmith in an emergency if you can’t enter your home, office or vehicle. If your keys are accidentally locked inside or broken in the lock, we’ll cover up to £50 for each incident for locksmiths’ costs.

Identity Protection

If you become a victim of identity theft, we will provide up to £50,000 of legal cover to help you reclaim your identity. You will have access to a confidential helpline and a case worker. And, Experian will monitor your credit file and send you free text alerts and internet monitoring.

Mobile phone insurance

Premium Current Account customers will receive up to £800 of cover if your mobile is lost, stolen, damaged or breaks down while it is being used by you or up to two authorised users. We’ll also cover you for any unauthorised calls made from your mobile, up to a value of £1,000. You need to register your mobile phone first to be covered.

Online will-writing

For Premium Current Account customers, our online service takes all the hassle out of writing and updating your will. The service first helps you to choose the right will for your circumstances. It then gives you the support you need to complete it. Your will then goes to our expert legal team, so you have the added reassurance that it has been professionally reviewed.

Premium Current Account customers - High-quality legal advice can be both costly and hard to find. So it’s comforting to know our team of expert lawyers is on hand to answer any legal questions you may have. Whether you need advice on a dispute or other matters to do with your home, family, job or other areas of daily life, they will treat your call as confidential.

Leisure & retail discounts

For Reward Current Account customers we’ve put together some great offers on hotels and restaurants around the UK, as well as some great retail discounts, so you can treat yourself and your family for less.

You will also be able to enjoy some unforgettable days out, with two admissions for the price of one on hundreds of fantastic days out across the UK.

Airport lounge access

For Premium Current Account customers, Airport Angel takes the stress out of flying. With access to 300 airport lounges around the world for you and the joint account holder, where you can escape the crowds and relax before boarding. You’ll also receive helpful texts to keep you updated on the status of your flight.
