How do I access my account abroad?
You can use ATM’s, by calling us on 0845 607 0666 (open 8am-9pm Mon-Fri, 8am-1pm Sat) or by going online.Can I access my account using ATMs while abroad – and will I be charged?
Yes, you can use ATMs to access your cash. However, you will be charged a cash handling fee of 1.5% of the value – as well as a card transaction fee. For example, if you are using a Cirrus machine you’ll be charged a fee of £1 + 1.5%. Please note, the bank whose cash machine you are using may also add its own fees, to find this out please check with them.
Can I make/receive international payments?
Yes, you can make and receive international payments by requesting a foreign payment indemnity form. You can also pay in foreign cheques and apply for a currency draft. Please contact us on 0845 607 0666.
Can I set up an account in another currency?
No, you cannot set up an account in another currency with a Santander business account. However you can visit Cater Allen Private Banking, a division of Santander, who offer this service. Please visit the Cater Allen website or contact them on 0800 092 3300.
Can non-UK residents set up an account?
Provided you are a Limited company (registered in the UK) you can set up an account – however at least one name on the account must be a UK resident.

We can provide both Telegraphic transfers and Foreign exchange cheques.
