What you'll need to apply
- Personal and address details for each individual associated with your business (director, partner or shareholders with a holding greater than 25%) and any other account operators
- Details about your business including contact details, registered name, company registration number (if relevant), the date you started / will start trading, number of employees and annual turnover.

- A valid email address for each individual (we may contact you by email about your application and to confirm account opening)
What you need to do
- You should read our Terms and Conditions, and Key Features, Interest Rates and Tariff of Charges that we follow. We recommend that you save or print these documents for your records. Some are in PDF format, so you will need Adobe Acrobat to view them.
- If you also want to apply for the Business Bank Account you can do this in the same application. Please make sure that you also read our current rates and charges.
- We recommend that you add 'customerservices@santander.co.uk' to your email contacts as we may contact you via email about your application and to confirm account opening. This should help prevent our emails to you being filtered out by your internet service provider.

If you are downloading the application form, print it off and fill in the relevant sections. Then post it back to us at the following address, together with any necessary identification (see below) and your opening deposit to: Santander Business Banking Centre, 301 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5NT.
What we do
- We aim to process your application and send you an email or a letter, within three working days. (Please remember to allow for the post, weekends and bank holidays.)
- This email or letter will either be to confirm that your account is opened, or to ask you to provide some further information before we can open your account.
- Once your account is open, within seven to 10 working days, we will post your eBanking log in details and new card and pin to the address you provided in the application (these will be sent separately for security reasons).
