Debit Card

We offer two types of debit card to make the most of your Abbey Bank Account – a Visa debit card and a Visa Electron card. They offer a secure payment method that is more convenient than cheques or cash.

The Visa debit card

This card is three cards in one.

  • A debit card
  • A £100 cheque-guarantee card
  • A cash card

The Visa Electron card

This card is two cards in one.

  • A debit card
  • A cash card

You can use either debit card to buy goods and services in shops, over the phone and online. You can use your Visa debit card wherever you see the Visa sign and your Visa Electron card wherever you see the Visa Electron sign. And don’t forget, you can use your debit card at home and abroad.

Cash card

You can use a cash card, free of charge, at Abbey cash machines or cash machines displaying the LINK symbol. That way, you have access to your money all the time. You can also use your cash card at cash machines overseas that display the Cirrus symbol.
