I have an ISA with another company, how do I transfer it to Santander?
If you already have an ISA and want to transfer to a:
(a) Cash ISA with Santander - call us on 0800 587 2764 and ask us for a "Transfer In application form".
(b) Investments ISA with Santander – call us on 0845 600 0181 to request a "Transfer In application" or simply ask your local branch for the application.

Once we've received this completed form from you, we'll need to contact your existing provider, so please allow up to 30 days for the transfer to take place from when we receive your form.

ISA products are provided by Santander ISA Managers Limited, which is regulated by the FSA.

How do I get financial advice?
We’re always happy to help make your financial plans a reality – whether it’s saving for retirement or getting your money to work harder. To arrange an appointment visit your nearest branch or call us on 0845 7654321.

What’s the interest rate on my account?
Visit our rates and charges page or you can call us on 0845 7654321. We are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 9pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm.

I've found an old passbook – are any funds left in it?
Call us on 0845 765 4321, or visit your nearest branch with identification. See a list of acceptable ID for taking into a branch

How do I get Tax Deduction details?
We no longer produce Tax Deduction Certificates automatically. After consultation with Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs, formerly the Inland Revenue, we were advised that they no longer routinely require individuals to produce a Tax Deduction Certificate when completing their tax return.

If you’re completing a tax return, and you’re being paid interest net of tax, you can get the information you need from your Annual Investor Statement as long as your account has a balance of £500 or more which you should receive/ have received from us by 20th May 2008 – just add the figure in the ‘tax deducted’ column to the figure in the ‘interest paid’ column.

How do I pay money into my eSaver?
You can pay money into an eSaver account by using our online banking service to ‘move money’ from another linked Santander account, or ‘pay money in’ from up to three of your other bank/building society accounts. This works by taking money from another account by Direct Debit. If you haven’t already set this up, call us on 0845 609 0014. We're open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 9pm.

You can also pay cash or cheques in at a Santander Cash Machine, or set up a Standing Order or Personal Payment from an account with another bank or building society.

For more information about online banking, call us on 0845 600 4388 (open Monday to Saturday from 7am to 11pm, and Sunday from 9am to 9pm), or visit our help for first time users page.

Can I open an account with Santander if I'm not resident in the UK?
In order to open an account with us, you must be resident in the UK, or have a BFPO (British Forces Post Office) address. To find out more, please call 0845 609 0014. (Dial 00 44 2890 82384 from abroad.) We're open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 9pm.

As part of the Santander Group we’re able to offer high quality banking in many countries around the world. Visit  www.abbeyinternational.com to find out more.
